Electronics and Wire Harness Assembler

Role Summary: We are looking for a talented Cable and Wire Harness Assembler to join our custom cable team. You will produce high-quality semi-rigid cables and harnesses crucial for electromechanical assemblies. These components ensure safe and efficient information transfer to machine parts in industries such as medical, renewable energy, aerospace, and robotics.
Your day to day duties will involve producing cables per customer specifications, verifying them against Bills of Materials (BOM) and schematics, measuring, bending, and cutting cables to specified lengths, assembling cable fittings, and performing quality assurance checks. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, strong technical skills, and a commitment to delivering top-quality products.
Essential Job Functions:
- Assemble, test, and troubleshoot cables, including phase matching. Produce cable orders according to customer specifications and validate against Bills of Materials (BOM) and schematics.
- Measure, bend, or cut cables to the necessary length, assemble cable fittings, and solder cable ends.
- Conduct quality assurance checks on completed cables. Apply identifying information and labels on cable assemblies, and prepare products for delivery.
- Document processes accurately and in a timely manner, including Work Instructions (WI), Certificates of Compliance (COC), and other necessary documents.
- Learn and apply industry standards including IPC 620, ISO 9001, Restriction of Hazardous Substances (ROHS)
- Perform regular maintenance and calibration of equipment and tools
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proficient with measuring tools like calipers, rulers, and calculators.
- Skilled in handling basic hand and small tools.
- Able to follow written and verbal instructions effectively.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Capable of maintaining an organized workspace.
- Adaptable to working under deadlines.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Proficient in basic mathematics, including metric and standard measurements.
Education and Experience:
- Associates Degree in Electronics Technology preferred.
- Experience in lieu of degree may be considered.
- Requires complete understanding of general and technical aspects of job.
Additional Requirements:
